Assassin RP Topic

Jorin had known this, although Giovanni did not, but Richard had been proven with undeniable evidence to have been responsible for Locorns younger sister. It was just a small way of letting Richard understand the pain to lose the only family you have. He was lucky the child hadn't been killed.

Unkown to Jorin and Locorn, Dominic had discovered his heritage. Finally, at 17, he made his move. He used his assassin skills to kill his trainer, then made it seem like a suicide. Then he stowed away on a ship for Italy, hoping his parents had not forgotten him.

Jorin had kept his strength up for the 16 years of guild inactivity. He showed no signs of age except he had grown a bit wiser. He heard about Dominic's disappearance, but he decided to wait and let things play out. He advised Locorn to do the same. The time for action was near, Jorin knew.

Richard and Maria had not forgotten their lost son, annual memorials were held in Florence and on several occasions tournament games and parties were held in his honor. They still searched for him and by this time their influence had shaped Florence for the better. most of the poverty was removed and the joint companies the Gray and Medici families held made Florence an industrial superpower. Its power was extended to other regions and soon Florence grew an extensive system of ports and a large trading empire. when Richard and Maria learned of someone asking about them at a port they were anxious but skeptical. They thought it may be their son but then they also thought it could be an assassin or foreign trader. Nonetheless they set guards at higher levels hopping that the mysterious asker would go to the guards and in turn bring them to Richard and Maria.

An assassin greeted Dominic at the port. "Signore, what are you doing in Italia?" he asked, confused.
"I am here on an errand from Signore Jorin," he answered.
"Oh?" said the asssassin. "And what might that...!" The assassin abruptly stopped as Dominic slit his throat. As the man fell, Dominic walked past him, into the slums of Italy, and began to search around.

Richard and Maria dove into a carriage and made their way to the Medici port.

Locorn knew that the only course of action, now that Dominic had escaped, was to kill him. Since the infiltration of the Black Hand and Unseen Shadows had been accomplished in the last 16 years, it was time to move.

Jorin came to Locorn. "I have discovered something about the Black Hand. They are rebuilding to the north, just inside Germany. You are the only one I can trust. I need you to travel to Germany and crush the guild's reconstruction. Dominic can be handled later, his skills are great, but he is nowhere near strong enough to face you or I."

"Very well, I'll meet with Leopoldo in Berlin, he should be finished with his mission in Poland by now. What will you be doing while I'm gone?"

"I will assemble the Knights and hold an official guild meeting, the first in some years," said Jorin. "We will make a plan, but don't worry, I will remember to include you in whatever we decide."

Dominic made his way down the port to where a few guards were they looked at him closely as he passed them but then dismissed their thoughts towards him. He then ran up and got in a carriage to head towards Florence. While on the road he passed a carriage containing Richard and Maria but neither party knew and continued their journeys.
When he arrived in Florence he asked the guards to see Richard and Maria, his parents. the guards informed him they weren't there and sent him to the castello to wait while they sent a messenger.

"Leopoldo, its been too long" said Locorn as he met with Leopoldo in a small pub in Berlin. "Why have you called me here?" asked Leopoldo "The Black Hand is rebuilding in this city and I just found the headquarters today, to put it plainly, we're going to blow it up." replied Locorn

"Welcome, amici," said Jorin loudly to the assembly of assassins. "This is the first meeting of the Knights of the Dark Mists in ten years. I thank you all for coming. Now, I would like to here how our respective chapters are doing."
"The Sicily chapter is in complete control of the island," said one man, standing.
"Same for venice," said another man.
"Good," said Jorin. "But the mainland, as you all know, is largely controlled by the Medici. Now, I know we have all been doing our best to destroy major outposts of Medici power. But the son of Maria Medici, Dominic Gray, has turned against our order."
"He was one of our most prodigious students!" burst out one older assassin who looked to be in his fifties. Jorin recognized him as one of the more senior assassins that saw little field work.
"True," said Jorin. "But he is now starting an entirely new guild that will serve the Medici. We do not know any more than that, but something must we done."
The assassins began murmuring among themselves.

While Leopoldo planted the last of the bombs outside the meeting house for the Black Hand, Locorn killed an assassin that had just found a bomb. "Time to go, we have 30 seconds" said Leopoldo while the dead assassin slumped to the ground. As the rode away, there was a huge explosion as the Black Hand headquarters, along with all its members, was destroyed. "Time to return to Italy" said Locorn "There are affairs that must be attended to"

Dominic waited at the castelle and Richard and Maria soon arrived. With intense emotion Dominic had seen his parents for the first time in 16 years. they began talking together after hours of saying their regrets as Maria and Richard explained they did all they could. then Dominic got down to business and explained he wanted to help out his parents and described what had happened to him for all those years. As the sun set Richard and Maria welcomed Dominic back to the family and a great party was held in commemoration for his homecoming.

Jorin walked slowly through the streets of Florence. He noted the locations and patrol routes of the Medici guards for future reference. He calmly walked by the bridge leading into the castello, and the guards did not stop him. He knew that sooner or later a battle would be fought, starting on that bridge.

(you know the main Medici influence is in Florence and that is also where everybody was? right?)
Richard re-drew his will and included Dominic in it, then he took him out for some sight seeing and asked him what happened during all the years. before beginning the trip through Fiore a messenger boy approached the pair and informed Richard that the Medici Family member was elected by the college of cardinals to pope.

Jorin looked at some possible places to start new guild headquarters throughout the city. He knew that thew mausoleum guild could not be the only guild, and that several different guild houses would be needed to monitor the city. He found one house with a hidden door that led down to a massive great hall, and he told the owner that he was interested in purchasing it. Then he left, heading back to the mausoleum.

As Richard and Dominic went through the city Maria began researching the productivity of the family's textile industries and also the word on the street about increasing assassin movements.

Soon the exchange was made and Jorin instituted a new guild leader at the new location. The two guild houses divided Florence between them, to be more concentrated.

Leopoldo and Locorn arrived at the guild headquarters of the KDM. Locorn wished to speak with Jorin in order to get up to date, but he was not in the guild. Locorn and Leopoldo retired to their bedchambers, waiting to be woken when Jorin arrived.

Jorin returned to the mausoleum, where the two hired guards outside saluted him. He used his hidden blade to open the secret door and descended into the great hall. There he began speaking with the strategists about recent skirmishes with Medici guards. The guild had been focusing on Medici supply convoys, attempting to cut off their goods.

Locorn was awoken by an assassin he announced to him that Jorin had returned. Locorn left his room to get an update from the newly arrived.

Richard and Dominic stopped and sat on a bench. Dominic started: " Papa, i want to tell you what happened. Those people that killed your former master were the ones that had me. They taught me how to be an assassin. Over several years i did many assassinations and missions for them and after each time it felt like i was doing something wrong. I had many friends in the old guild and they now join me. I would like a building that would sever as a guild and then i will be able to bring glory and honor back to my name by strengthening my family and undoing my wrongings and my own wrongs."

Jorin explained the new guild house to Locorn. Then he turned to his information agents. They knew that the enemy guild would soon choose a base, well protected no doubt by the Medicis. So the goal was to find the base and then find a way to distract the Medicis long enough to take down the enemy guild base.

Locorn and Jorin talked for a while on plans to accomplish this task and finally devised them. They would execute it that night.
