a large man in a leather suit slapped him around a bit. " hey laddy you finally gonna talk?" he took out a knife and twirled it around in his hands then started acting like he was gonna stab him. " now you better tell me all you know about everything or else ima gonna have to get my boss down here, and you wont like that." he then gave a hoarse chuckle and began interrogating Jorin

Jorin sat impassively. He had dealt with this before, nothing new. He just stared at the man. Mentally, Jorin was counting down to 12 hours...

Richard entered, equipped in his normal attire in in complete black, with a pitch black cape on his left shoulder and his normal Medici cape half attached to his right. he walked up to Jorin and took off his glove and slapped him across the face. " how dare you attempt something like that sir!, you must be out of your mind to think that you could get away with an action of this caliber! Do you not know that you just killed one of the Medici, the most powerful family in Florence if not Italy herself!" Richard stepped back and called the guards. " keep watch over this, Assassin" he said mockingly. "Search him several times a day and make sure you do not let him escape, i know his kind are a tricksey lot." he walked off and spoke to one of the guards barely audible to where Jorin was. " you must make sure nothing goes wrong at the Funeral, and make sure nobody interrupts my in-statement as head of police in Guilio's stead. Avanti! spostarla!" yelled Richard and the soldiers saluted sharply and ran off. Richard went out after them and looked Jorin in the eye for a moment then left.

Damien looks down at teh prison from the rooftop and sees a lot more guards patrolling around then there should and heard of the arrest of Jorin trying to kill Guillio. "So this is where hes is eh."he thinks to himself. He jumped to the top of the prison. he reaches for a firebomb and places it on the roof. after taking a few steps back the bomb explodes and he jumped down with to throwing knives ready he throws them at the guards. killing them both and lands on them. After retracting his knives from there skulls he moves down the corridor and finds a sleeping guard. he picks him up and drags him to the closet where his interrogation begins.

it was morning when Richard left Guilio's funeral. he walked out of the Basilica as he comforted some women and then escorted them to a carriage where he left them. a soldier ran up and informed Richard of the days events and of suspicious activity, like a large boom heard from the roof. Richard assigned more guards around Jorin then moved on to the instatement ceremony at the Piazza di San Paolo.
At the ceremony Giovanni d'Medici announced Richard take Guilio's place as the head of police and gave a short speech about his brothers legacy then ended the ceremony with a prayer said by a priest.

The wall of the cell smashed open, and two Black Hand assassins burst in. One killed the interrogator with a flick of his hand. The other unchained Jorin with an axe.
"You two, come with me," said Jorin.
"But, signore, we must leave," protested one.
"Some of the most powerful Medicis are here at Giulio's funeral," said Jorin, strapping on his gear. "We're gonna crash the party."

Richard was congratulated by all the Medicis there and was given a seal and a key to the city. Richard accepted it and began a speech of his: " People of Florence! Guilio was a good man and my master! I will protect you and this beautiful city from crime, ruin, war, poverty and death from all sources outside and inside! My city, Florence shall be the star of all Italia!..." people began to cheer as the speech continued.

"Brunetto, left. Georgio, right," said Jorin. He went up the middle, silently moving through the cheering crowd and heading toward prominent Medicis.
On the left, Brunetto poisoned a Medici so stealthily that the man just kept cheering. On the right, Georgio pulled one behind a pillar, and the man never came out.

Richard continued:... All those who seek to ruin Florence shall be removed! Like a cancer they infest our world with hate, lies and deceit! Guilio was killed by such people! As my first act as the new head of police will be to capture and execute such these people!..." people continued to cheer, but a messenger ran to a guard and told him of the escape. the guard ran up and whispered this news to Richard. " The one who killed Guilio is here at this ceremony and I will not let him kill anymore! GUARDS!" suddenly a group of armored pikemen swarm in from a side building and circled Richard and the Medicis as if to protect them.

Jorin whistled sharply, primed a firebomb, and hurled it at the stage. Georgio and Brunetto did the same. The three boms rolled onto the stage around the leaders. Jorin knew the entire stage was going to blow within seconds. Jorin jumped and latched onto a pillar and started climbing. The other two did the same in different places.

Richard gasped and jumped backwards off the stage along with all the other Medicis. the priest realized what would happen and jumped on the bombs. he was killed instantly but almost nullified the spread of the shrapnel and dampened the explosion. the guards jumped forwards off the stage and most were killed by the explosion. one guard yelled " Medici Guards! " suddenly a swarm of steel plated, cape adorned, elite looking troops stormed in and surrounded the Medici and Richard group against the side of the Basilica.the first row of about 10 troops held large tower shields and formed a wall. the second row also 10 troops held pike and stuck their pikes through small breaks in the shield wall. and the third row again 10 troops, this time arquebusiers moved behind them and formed a line behind the shield-pike wall.

Guards emerged on the balconies. Jorin leapt from one pillar to the next. The door was in sight. Crossbow bolts hit the stone all around him. Georgio dove and rolled, avoiding the projectiles, but Brunetto took six and fell down, dead before his body crunched into the floor.

the arquebusiers noted their position and began firing on the assassins. they mostly missed but one hit Georgio's foot and he slipped off the building and was then quickly surrounded by pikemen who stabbed him.

Jorin paused and threw a gas bomb into the group. While everyone coughed and was blinded, Jorin held his breath, grabbed Georgio, and ran out the front door. He ran up to a mounted man, kicked him off, and threw Georgio onto the horse. Jorin then clambered up and set off at full gallop.

Some troops ran off them but Richard knew it was too late. " raise the alarm, alert all guards of the assassin." said Richard as the ceremony was finished and he walked away.

Jorin thought over the events of the last day. At least three Medicis down, and maybe more from the bombs. But he didn't have time to think as bolts flew past his head and he attempted to keep the unconscious Georgio on the horse.

Richard walked out of the piazza and took a carriage back to castelle and met Maria d'Medici who was his planned bride to unite the Gray and Medici families. he met her and then escorted her, along with the other Medicis into the castelle.

Jorin unloaded Georgio in a back alleyway. He set the seriously wounded assassin down and knocked on a door. A doctor appeared, recognized Jorin, and motioned him in. Jorin set Georgio on a table and waited for a result.

Richard began talking with Giovanni about political affairs and then decided on the date for the marriage, Sunday in 3 days. he then went to talk to Maria who actually was in love with Richard and he with her. He then talked to her about plans for the wedding then retired to his quarters.

Jorin was relieved to find that Georgio would recover over a few weeks, but would be out of commission. Jorin decided to leave him with the doctor, where he would be safe. Then Jorin rode to the Black Hand's hideout, hidden deep within the slums of Italy. It was an underground complex. Jorin kneeled before an older man. "Maestro," said Jorin. "Giulio and two other Medicis are dead, but Brunetto was lost in the escape, and Georgio severely wounded."
"We must be prepared to take such losses, Auditore," answered the Maestro. "Come, we have other targets to discuss."

Richard walked out of the castelle the next morning and made his way over to the sarto to have the marital clothes commissioned. then he went out to the Fabro to inspect his weapon and then returned to the castelle

The prominent Black Hand members gathered around the planning room table. Several dots were on the map, marking targets, some with X's, representing dead targets. The eventual goal was to take down the Medici family leader, and eliminate them all to prevent further quarrel.

A lull had come in the Unseen Shadows. There were no targets, no threats and nothing to do. It was very boring. Lorcon had heard of the Black Hand and knew that they were currently on friendly terms with the Unseen Shadows, he also knew that they currently had two assassins out of commission which offered a temporary opening for some excitement in Lorcon's life. Lorcon then made the decision to contact the Black Hand.

Several Grays had arrived in Florence and Richard began sharing stories of his exploits with them. Richards uncle, aunt, mom, dad, and brothers/sister had arrived in Florence that day and the rest of Richards close/semi-distant family would arrive the day before the wedding. after Richard's conversation with his family the Medicis started conversing with the Gary's and talked about plans for their mutual future.

The Maestro announced that a member of the Unseen Shadows had made contact with the Black Hand. The Shadows member had asked to help, having nothing to do within his own guild.
"Jorin," said the Maestro. "I am dispatching you to meet this Shadows member, because with your wounds you are unable to take on major missions."
"I accept your decision," said Jorin, putting one fist across his chest and bowing. "I will depart immediately." Jorin walked outside, his limbs stiff from the past day's activities. He mounted a horse and rode toward the assigned meeting point.
"This should be an uneventful mission," thought Jorin to himself. "But it rarely seems to turn out that way."
